A Catalogue of the Flora of Arizona, Supplement II
Lehr JH and Pinkava DJ. 1982. A Catalogue of the Flora of Arizona, Supplement II. Journal of the Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science. 17(1)
The second supplement, like the "Catalogue" (1) and the first supplement (2), is not a critical taxonomic study, but the changes herein reflect the current literature and most recent manuals of the Southwest. The families are arranges as in Arizona Flora (2). The arrangement of taxa within the family are alphabetical and synonymy usually is the most recent in the Arizona Flora. The terms "variety" and "subspecies" are again used with the lack of uniformity as expressed in the introduction of Arizona Flora. Each taxon entry new to the "Catalogue" and its supplement is indicated by an asterisk (*). With Supplement II, numbers of taxa for Arizona are: 151 families, 1013 genera, 3702 species, 102 subspecies, 498 varieties, 15 forms, 26 named hybrids, and 4343 total taxa.
