Jamaica Bay combined swer overflow facility planning project: subtask 5.4 - end-of-pipe treatment

End-of-pipe, or satellite, treatment facilities generally discharge their treated effluent into a receiving water body. Treatment methods are typically practiced on continuous flow streams with somewhat limited variations between minimum and maximum flows. The proximity of the three 26th Ward tributaries to each other could allow the construction of one facility to handle all the combined sewer overflows. Spring Creek was not included in the evaluation since additional abatement of CSO's was shown not to be necessary beyond 24-hour disinfacetion.
