During 1982-96, a study was conducted of the biogeochemistry of the mature boreal forested Wallace Lake watershed in Isle Royale National Park, Lake Superior basin, Michigan. The research objectives were the quantification of the ecosystem structure and function and the determination of the response of the watershed to atmospheric inputs and climate change.
