Olympic Discovery Trail Cultural Resources Survey, Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, Washington

Kwarsick K and Conca D. 2006. Olympic Discovery Trail Cultural Resources Survey, Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, Washington. Olympic National Park. Port Angeles, WA

From the Executive Summary: "Between the dates of April 26 and September 9, 2005, Park Service and Forest Service Archeologists completed the survey for the ODT [Olympic Discovery Trail]. Due to the general lack of ground visibility in the project area, several methods of subsurface survey were employed combined with pedestrian survey. A total of 106 shovel probes, 14 duff scrapes and one 1x1m unit were passed through a 1/4 inche shaker screen and carefully inspected for cultural materials."
