Bogan MA, Mollhagen TR, Geluso K. 2006. Inventory for bats (Chiroptera) at Canyonlands National Park, Utah, final report. USGS. Albuquerque, NM

The Canyonlands bat inventory was conducted from the spring of 2004 through the fall of 2005. Bat species were inventoried (mist nets, acoustic surveys) in all three units of CANY comprising 34 sites with a focus on high-priority sites such as water tanks, pools and other water features where bats were likely to occur. The bat team confirmed the presence of 16 native bat species in the park; previous studies confirmed only 8 species.
