Soil Survey of Tuzigoot National Monument, Arizona
Lindsay BA. 2000. Soil Survey of Tuzigoot National Monument, Arizona. USGS Sonoran Desert Field Station Technical Report. No. 67. USGS Sonoran Desert Field Station. Tucson, AZ
This soil survey was a project of the National Cooperative Soil Survey, a joint effort of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and other Federal agencies, State agencies including the Agricultural Experiment Stations, and local agencies. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), has leadership for the Federal part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey. Major field work for this soil survey was completed in 1998. Soil names and descriptions were approved in May 1998. Statements in this publication refer to conditions in the survey area in 1998. This survey was made cooperatively by the NRCS and the National Park Service. Its publication as a Technical Report of the USGS Sonoran Desert Field Station follows the traditional relationship that established the SDFS as the field data distribution arm of the NPS in southern Arizona.
