A Catalogue of the Flora of Arizona: Supplement I

Lehr JH and Pinkava DJ. 1980. A Catalogue of the Flora of Arizona: Supplement I. Journal of the Arizona Academy of Science. 15(1):17-32

The first supplement, like the "Catalogue" is not a critical taxonomic study and the changes herein reflect the current literature and most recent manuals of the general area. The sequence of families substantially agrees with that in the Arizona Flora, but changes included herein are in agreement with Willis' Dictionary. The arrangement of taxa within a family are strictly alphabetical and when a change in synonymy occurs, usually the only synonym included is the most recent one in the Arizona Flora. The terms "Variety" and "subspecies" are again used with the same lack of uniformity as expressed in the introduction of Arizona Flora. Each taxon entry new to the "Catalogue" is indicated by an asterisk (*), of questionable occurrence in Arizona, by a question mark (?).
