Classifying and mapping the worlds vegetation

Lieth H and Van der Maarel E. 1976. Classifying and mapping the worlds vegetation. Vegetatio. 32(2):73-73

Presently available maps often have inaccurate boundaries, especially in tropical, subtropical and mountainous areas. Variability in classification systems is also a problem.
