The Spanish moss, Dendropogon usneoides (L.) Raf., is a widely distributed epiphyte that extends form southern Virginia to eastern Texas. It is this species which lends romantic charm to the landscape of the coastal strip of Southeastern United States. It has received some attention from investigators but notable from Billings ('04) who discussed its distribution and described its structure and embryogeny in considerable detail. This paper is intended only to add certain data regarding the dispersal and the water relations of this plant.
