The present investigation focused on the relationships between production of seven species of the cold desert of northern Utah and climate. Our objectives were to determine the influence of winter and growing season precipitation on the production of individual species and to determine whether temperature during the growing season had any additional effect on production...Stepwise regression analyses were used to examine the relationships between annual production of seven cold desert forage species and climate variables at different periods of the year.
