This report documents the recovery and expansion of a population of Acropora palmata on Elkhorn Reef in Biscayne National Park following Hurricane Andrew. The coral exhibited rapid wound healing, high rates of asexual recruitment, and rapid growth rate of new recruits. The study also measured growth patterns of recruits to determine the structural changes during the transition from recruit to adult morphology. Tables and graphs present the data.
