Photogrammetry has been used to obtain some types of ecological data usually collected by more labour intensive methods. The advantages and applications of stereophotography are discussed, and some preliminary results presented. Prospects for fully automated photogrammetric determinations of complex surfaces are discussed. Abstract provided by author.
