This study concerns the hydrology of the Ash Meadows complex, including Devils Hole, Death Valley National Park, Nevada. Pumping for irrigation has lowered the water level, reducing the critical habitat of the Devils Hole pupfish (Cyprinodon diabolis). Alternative measure for long-term study and development are discussed.
