Developing a watershed inventory for vulnerability assessment using ArcGIS

Meenar MR, Bari AA, Paulsen K. 2006. Developing a watershed inventory for vulnerability assessment using ArcGIS. ArcUser. January-March:20-23

A comprehensive inventory of the Pennypack Creek Watershed (contains Philadelphia) was created with funding from US EPA Regional Vulnerability Assessment (ReVA) program. The ReVA program has made tremendous progress in integrating large-scale spatial databases for ecological vulnerability assessment. Temple University's inventory of the Pennypack Creek Watershed is part of an effort to scale down ReVA's methods and tools to assess smaller watersheds. Hawths analysis tools were used. The ArcCN-runoff tool downloadable from www.esri.com/arcscripts calculates a mreasure of the storm water runoff potential for a drainage area.
