Hydrologic Evaluation of Garton Lake, White Sands National Monument, NM
Sprester FR. 1980. Hydrologic Evaluation of Garton Lake, White Sands National Monument, NM. Holloman AFB, NM
The US Air Force conducted a study of Garton Lake to determine whether Air Force activities were a potential cause of decreasing water temperature and quantity. No pollution from Air Force activities was found, and it was recommended that the well under Garton Lake be relined and the surface area of the lake be reduced in order to stop the decrease in water quality and quantity in Garton Lake.
