This report discusses research questions addressed in several archaeological field studies conducted on Tutuila, American Samoa. These include the dating of initial colonization and subsequent cultures sequences as distinguishable in the archaeological records: patterns of settlement distribution based on site locations and other evidence; the evolution of ceramic style and technology; and apparent intensification of stone adze production in Tutuila.
