The objectives of this study were to perform a hydrologic study of the Sulphur artesian ground water system; to define the upper limits of the hydrologic resources; to determine the effects of changes in the hydrologic system on the surface and subsurface flows; to determine the size of the recharge area for the artesian basin; to obtain structural data on the dip, strike, joint system, and faults in the recharge area to determine the pattern of the flow system; to assemble information on the flow system; to perform a flood study; and to assemble water quality data.
