This study focuses on the importance of fish as predators to amphibian populations, and the impact to distribution patterns of Hyla arborea. Both permanent ponds and control ponds were surveyed. The ponds were surveyed for fish presence by electrofishing. A significantly larger proportion of the ponds without successful reproduction, than ponds with successful reproduction (p<0.01) had fish. Data suggests that the presence of fish is an important factor in reproductive success and occurrence of Hyla arborea.
