This article focuses on frequency spectrum, duration, temporal pattern of pulses, and pulse form components in call discrimination behavior of Hyla regilla and H. cadaverina. Sympatric gravid females of both species were collected from breeding ponds on rainy spring nights. They were collected in San Dimas Canyon, Los Angeles Co., California. Mating calls were recorded and evaluated, and neurophysiological and discrimination tests were conducted.
