Mountain Quail Fidelity to Guzzlers in the Mojave Desert

The authors measured water guzzler use by mountain quail (Oreortyx pictus) in the Mojave Desert. They found individual mountain quail (97.1%) persistently used a single guzzler despite the presence of nearby guzzlers. This consistent pattern of fidelity to a single guzzler was observed in both high and low mountain quail densities.
