A thesis detailing the results of a study assessing the influence of riparian hemlock stands on stream conditions and estimating the possible impacts of hemlock loss in light of the spread of the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (Adelges tsuga) across forests in eastern North America, which has resulted in the decline and mortality of the Eastern and Carolina Hemlock.
