The Department of Energy has a commitment to reclaim all lands disturbed by the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository project, and to return disturbed sites to a stable ecological state, with a vegetation composition and productivity similar to predisturbance conditions. This study was to determine which plant species naturally invade disturbed sites in the Yucca Mountain Project Area.
