To help mitigate the unintended side-effects of the Bonnie Claire Road Project in Death Valley National Park (DEVA), small mammal surveys were conducted within areas of the project for which the DEVA Resource Management staff has expressed concern. The purpose of these surveys was to identify especially sensitive areas within the road project where small mammal species may be adversely affected by road construction activities.
