This report describes the characteristics of Hurricane Andrew as they relate to modification of beaches located on the eastern and western coasts of south Florida. The beaches studied were in Everglades National Park and on Key Biscayne. The report includes descriptions of surge currents, wave attack, onshore surges, and beach modifications. Maps, graphs, and photographs present the data.
