This study examined the effects of commercial bait shrimp trawling and trapping of spiny lobsters, stone crabs, and blue crabs on the benthic habitats of Biscayne National Park. This study relied upon existing data, field experiments and surveys, and ground truthing. It found that the trap fishery affected seagrasses differently depending on gear soak time, trap type, and the species of seagrass. The rollerframe trawls affected sessile invertebrates such as soft corals and sponges. Graphs, tables, and maps present the data.
