This study of stream sediment discharge examines 8 streams representing diverse geology and land use. Water discharge is considered as well, and results of analyzing 9 storms show that logged areas have twice the water runoff and up to 10 times the suspended sediment as unlogged areas. During high flows, logged tributaries are major contributors of sediment to Redwood Creek. Illustrations: data on tributary basins studied, suspended sediment yield and transport curves.
