Population dynamics of bighorn sheep in the San Gabriel Mountains, California, 1967-2002

Authors used historical data, contemporary population estimates and other indices of population performance, and indices of mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus californicus) and mountain lions to explore bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis nelsoni) dynamics in the San Gabriel Mountains, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, California, over a period of 35 years (1967-2002). An estimated 500 bighorn sheep occupied that range during that period.
