Desert bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis nelsoni) are presently found on the Arizona Strip, but are generally believed to have been more abundant and more widely distributed historically. This Amended Plan presents the objectives, management actions, and monitoring strategy for the purpose of directing future bighorn management on the Arizona Strip BLM. The Plan is also intended to be dynamic and adaptive, to respond rapidly to changes in resource needs, while meeting objectives for bighorn sheep.
