In cooperation with the Arizona Strip District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), researchers from Northern Arizona University (NAU), Flagstaff, have obtained funding to implement large-scale restoration treatments in ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) forests on non-wilderness BLM lands in the Mt. Trumbull area of the Arizona Strip, in northwestern Arizona. Thus document incorporates the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AGFD) Research Branch's study plan to evaluate short-term effects of restoration treatments on various wildlife species found in forested habitats in the Mt. Trumbull area with results from year one of data collection.
