The proposed experimental vegetative treatment program is an attempt to restore fire as a natural process in the Shivwits Plateau region. The goals are to restore the fuel load, increase biodiversity, and promote the establishment of native grasses and forbs, and to restore potential wildlife habitat for sensitive species.
