Fong D, Moore T, Watanabe R. 2004. Inventory of Tomales Bay Sites for Tidewater Goby (Eucyclogobius newberryi), 2002-2003, Marin Co. California [PUBLIC VERSION]. San Francisco, CA
The purpose of this study was to identify potentially suitable habitat for tidewater gobies along the shoreline of Tomales Bay and to determine the presence/absence of the tidewater goby. Dip nets and seines were used to survey for tidewater goby populations. It appears that the Tomasini Creek population is the only remaining population within Tomales Bay. Recommendations for the conservation and recovery of the tidewater goby include protecting existing populations, completing genetic analyses, establishing populations at suitable habitats, and artificial rearing and release.
