"There are three major objectives for this study: (1) Forest types. This project will determine major forest types, structure, and composition, and update a species list for the monument. (2) Fire history. This project will determine the fire history of the monument over the last several hundred years. (3) Developed area fuel hazard. This project will assess fuel hazards in the developed area, which was manually treated in 1982."
