Preliminary checklist: The mosses of Hana and Koolau Forest Reserves, east Maui, Hawaii

Harrison BC. 1973. Preliminary checklist: The mosses of Hana and Koolau Forest Reserves, east Maui, Hawaii. none. none

The bryoflora of the northeast outer slopes of Haleakala Crater is extremely diverse, luxuriant, and little studied. Hoe studied the mosses of Kipahulu Valley (Hoe, 1967) and Harrison did a brief survey of the mosses of Waihoi Valley (Harrison, 1972). The vast area above these two falleys has been virtually untouched until the present study. To be sure, as they were only incidental to my other activities, only the surface has been scratched on the mosses.
