The complex stratigraphic and structural framework of the Death Valley region controls ground-water flow in the Death Valley regional ground-water flow system (DVRFS). A three-dimensional hydrogeologic framework model was constructed to represent the hydrogeological units and major structures in the DVRFS region for the development of the transient numerican ground-water flow model (see Chapter F this volume).
