The Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources (DMWR) began processing the longline logbook data locally at the beginning of the year 2000. Logbook data are summarized by date of haul as shown by the table below. All submitted logbook data for longline activities during 2006 have been processed and are reported in this preliminary report. However as of March 14, 2007, the documented delinquency rate according to the DMWR Daily Effort Census and Delinquency Reporting System for 2006 was 3.24%. Therefore, the data in this report are preliminary and are from the logs submitted to DMWR as of March 14, 2007.
