"Dream Lake is a small (approximately 1.7 acre), man-made lake located on the south side of Drakesbad Meadow (SE ¼, Section 22, Township 30 North, Range 5 East, M.D.B.&M.). Several technical reports and park staff observations have indicated that this structure is in danger of failure. In the fall of 2001, the park requested assistance from the Geologic Resources Division (GRD) and the Water Resources Division (WRD) to survey the site and to provide stabilization/restoration recommendations. On October 30th and 31st Gary Smillie, Hydrologist – WRD, and Mark Ziegenbein, Geologist – GRD visited the site to perform the required surveys and site assessments. The results of this investigation and recommended actions are provided."
