A selectively annotated bibliography of social, cultural and economic material related to fishery development in Hawaii, American Samoa, and Micronesia
Orbach MK. 1980. A selectively annotated bibliography of social, cultural and economic material related to fishery development in Hawaii, American Samoa, and Micronesia. Center for Coastal Marine Services, University of California. Santa Cruz, CA
This work is a selected, annotated bibliography of social, cultural, and economic material on subjects related to fishery development in Hawaii, American Samoa, the Northern Marianas, Guam, and Micronesia (Palau, Yap, Ponape, Kosrae, Truk, and the Marshalls). The citations are grouped in 14 sections around subjects ranging from fishing and fisheries, economics, and navigation to population and demography, land and sea tenure, and family and social structure. Our goal was to provide a well-rounded set of materials which, when combined with biological and other information, yield a picture of the entire spectrum of factors and issues important to a more complete understanding of fishery development in the Pacific.
