In 1985, twenty-five species of tropical and subtropical fruit and nut trees were introduced to Tutuila. American Samoa. These trees were planted at six sites throughout the island, including one site at the Land Grant Agricultural Experiment Station at Malaeimi. What follows are brief descriptions of many of these tree species, taken from several sources, to aid people in learning something about the trees.
