The present study was designed to investigate spawning periodicities of three common species of surgeonfishes on Guam to determine whether spawning aggregations or enhanced recruitment were responsible for higher abundances of these species in the winter months. An objective of this study is to document spawning capacities and frequencies of three of Guam's economically important surgeonfishes (Acanthurus triostegus, A. lineatus, and Naso lineatus).
