This report examines the functional condition and ecological health of the Mancos River watershed, Montezuma County, in southwestern Colorado. The report focuses primarily upon reaches in the Mancos Valley. Conditions of each reach was measured using the "Rapid Assessment" protocols. Seventeen surveys were conducted at different locations throughout the valley. Findings concluded the stream-riparian ecosystem of the Mancos River in the Mancos Valley and the surrounding areas are currently in good or very good functional condition.
