Colonization of reef corals in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii
Coles SL. 1999. Colonization of reef corals in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. Coral Reefs. (18):28
This one page report describes the history (or lack thereof) of stony corals in Pearl Harbor. The first observation of reef corals was in 1993. Before that time, pollution and sedimentation and the resulting poor water quality seemed to be the factors inhibiting colonizing corals.
