Approved Bison Quarantine Facilities

1995. Approved Bison Quarantine Facilities. Greater Yellowstone Interagency Brucellosis Committee

A group or individual may establish an approved bison quarantine facility (ABQF) to provide testing for brucellosis-exposed bison from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in order to qualify the animals as brucellosis free. These facilities may be located in Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, or adjacent to the Parks in the adjoining States of Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming. State and Federal animal health officials must approve each facility. Facility approval is valid for 1 year and can be reapproved provided that all requirements are met.
