A long-term record of vegetation change was determined from dated analysis of thirty-seven packrat middens collected from the upper desert elevations with Joshua Tree National Park, California. These plant macrofossils showed impacts of climate change on vegetation and will be important for understanding recent anthropogenic induced influences.
