The proposed project involves the design, construction and management of a scenic paifcway along the New River between I-64 and ffinton, West Virginia The New River Parkway, I-64 to Hinton, includes facilities integral to the recreation needs of residents and visitors in the southern portion of the New River Gorge National River. A description and analysis of the affected scenic parkway (visual, recreational and cultural resources) and the biophysical and socioeconomic environment follows, with special consideration of potential impacts and possible mitigations.
