The Geologic Resource Evaluation Program is one of the 12 inventories funded under the NPS Natural Resource Challenge designed to enhance baseline information available to park managers. The program carries out the geologic component of the inventory effort from the development of digital geologic maps to providing park staff with a geologic report tailored to a park's specific geologic resource issues. This report on the Guadalupe Mountains National Park geologic resources is accompanied by a digital geologic map of the park.
