This report presents the results of a survey for amphibians and reptiles in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation area during the period from February 2004 through June 2007. During that time, we made 160 visits to the park for an overall survey time of 1,057 hours (1,433 man-hours). In addition to the three primary investigators (John R. MacGregor, Douglas E. Stephens, and James D. Kiser), two other investigators surveyed the park for a substantial amount of time; Bret Kuss worked during 2004 and Clint Hayes worked during 2005. The goal of this survey was to document at least 90% of the amphibian and reptile species likely to occur in the park and to provide general information for each species pertaining to their habitat usage and relative abundance.
