On August 15, 2007 archeological site visits were conducted in the area of Placer and Redman Creeks in the Resurrection River Valley. Four historic sites (one cabin and three cabin ruins) and one possible prehistoric site were identified in this area in 1983 by Georgeanne Lewis Reynolds, NPS. One cabin, Placer Creek Cabin, was rehabilitated and utilized as a Public Use Cabin for a number of years.
