This paper summarizes the impacts of climate change on California flora, compares their projections with other studies, attempts to determine where endemic species diversity will be most influenced by climate change, where species will go if permitted to move, how range sizes will be projected to change, and where to expect future locations for refugia (places where species at risk from climate change can persist). To date, no studies have mapped the locations of such refugia.
