Topics of research include diet analyses directly determining which plant species burros consume, utilization studies of individual species, control-impact comparisons, exclosure studies, and forage analyses examining chemical characteristics of forage plants. Understanding both past and present burro grazing effects could help guide current revegetation and grazing management.
