The NABA Butterfly Counts, a program for the North American Butterfly Association, is a compilation of all butterflies observed at sites within a 15-mile diameter count circle in a one-day period. This annual report documents the results of the survey conducted on July 18, 2007 in City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park. A total of 28 species and 359 individuals were observed in riaprian, sagebrush-steppe, pasture, manicured lawn, and disturbed roadside habitats. The number of Common Wood-Nymphs was unusually high in the area.
